House sitting a paralysed chicken in the South of France…

Sam tells why she joined Toastmasters
The flamboyant Sam in action

Another lively and stimulating meeting gave us three speeches where we heard about different communication styles from the flamboyant Sam, how emotions, even the difficult ones, can enable us to grow if we are prepared to recognise the treasure within and a stay in the South of France which involved  care of a paralysed chicken. You can never say we don’t experience and enjoy contrast in our speeches!

A nostalgic childhood memory

Table topics (impromptu speeches) involved a fantasy involving making your own beer bottles and nostalgia from our guest when he saw a night light and remembered having one beside his bed when he was a child.

One of our long- standing members who normally has plenty to say, was completely stuck when confronted with a plastic cutter. It can happen – or perhaps it was the heat!
