An inspiring evening at the last Toastmasters’ meeting of the year, culminating in Jenny Bracelin being awarded her Competent Communicator Badge.
Jenny Bracelin being presented her Competent Communicator Badge by President Jackie Preuss.
This is a significant milestone in public speaking.
Jenny has completed 10 speeches, learning a wide variety of skills. All Toastmasters start with the courage to stand and speak at the front of the room! Some people attend as guests for many meetings before starting their journey.
Then the program shows you how to structure a speech, get to the point and research your topic. Use gestures, eye contact and expand the range of your voice and vocabulary, to make your speeches more interesting for the listener. Finally, how to inspire, persuade and entertain an audience. It is a privilege to watch people grow in this journey.
Toastmaster of the evening, Lindy Smith, bringing in the festive spirit.
The second part of the evening included 2 minute fun, fabulous and festive impromptu talks on the theme of Christmas.
The next meeting is on Monday 14th January at 7.20pm at the Mascall Centre in Ludlow, everyone is welcome.
